Eric came home from work and said, "I guess I'll get our Christmas tree while you're home in Maryland." Let's just say that our trip home snuck up on me a little this time. I will be getting back to Altus with the rest of my family on Christmas Eve, which hardly leaves time for tree trimmin'! The thought of Eric on a solo mission to pick out our
first tree made me a tad melancholy. Despite the fact that we had much to do in preparation for
another (yes, we count our lucky stars) trip home to Maryland AND a date with our JAG family for our weekly "family" dinner, I suggested that we Christmastify our house together tonight!

Tis the season to be jolly |
Eric is disappointed that this tree doesn't taste good. It's fake and he likes to nibble on pine needles. I am bracing for the barrage of (much deserved) teasing I will get from my family for having a fake tree. But all in all, I'd say we didn't do too bad considering this came together after a last minute run on Wal Mart. Thank goodness for Eric's Chinese balls (read, Cloisonné ornaments his parents gifted us from China).
An early Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
