There aint a bow big enough for this present...

...except for those bows you see on the television commercials, but they don't sell those in Altus.
Eric will be so excited to see I've included this.
I believe Flo-Rida said it best, "Them penny loafer shoes help me cop a Bentley coup." Except that in Eric's case, his penny loafers (combat boots) helped him cop a Dodge Challenger R/T. Let me back up a little...

Eric is a gear-head through and through. For as long as I've known him, his passion has been cars (and guitars). A bona fide rock star, am I right? He truly loves horsepower and footpounds of torque. The second gift I ever gave him (the first being a top hat to pay homage to Slash) was a torque wrench. He DVRs MotorWeek and spends many hours a week reading about turbo-powered engines and lateral G's. His love of cars is genuine. Needless to say, a lot of research (I'm talking years here) has gone into determining his first car purchase.

I am going to brag on him a little now. He has worked really hard to get where he is today. With a little support from me and a lot of support from our families, we are living the high-life out here in Altus, America. The picture of hard work, success, and a lot of luck. For all of the reasons above, we decided that his birthday this year was the perfect time to purchase our first car.

Tender moments
Long story short: the car purchase happened in such a way that Eric's old car was whisked away and replaced by a ginormous truck from the dealership within only a matter of hours. A dude drove from OKC to our house, arriving at 12am, to do the switcheroo.

We took a moment to honor his car and capture some sweet memories before she was off into the night. Goodbye is never easy (even when saying it to inanimate objects). I've always felt that despite the excitement of a new car, the moment is bittersweet. We hope her new family loves her as much as we did.

So, with great joy, we introduce the newest member of our little family. She is absolutely beautiful. Oh, excuse me, Eric prefers, "sinister." Eric is in love. I am elated that this chapter of incessant research has come to a close. A win-win for us all!

Gee thanks, Santa!
A very happy Herg

Oh, and we are accepting suggestions for names starting..............NOW!
